Nanjing Jincheng Suzuki Motorcycle Co., Ltd. is a Sino-Japanese joint venture company by and between Jincheng Corporation and Suzuki Co., Ltd. and Ganggu Machinery Co., Ltd. Japan, which announced its establishment in June 1994 after approval by the National Industry & Commerce Administrative Bureau. The total investment is 28 Million US dollars and the registered capital is 22.4 Million US dollars.
In May of 1996, the company started production while constructions of other parts of the joint venture were still under way. At the end of 1997, the company saw its move and settlement in the new plant site that is located in the Hushu Industrial Zone, Jiangning County, Nanjing. The designed annual productive capacity is 200,000 motorcycles (incl. engines). The company integrates the motorcycle sales, production and maintenance service and is one of the leading motorcycle suppliers in China. It is equipped with a domestically top-ranking motorcycle production line, a world's best stamping production line, a mechanical machining line and a spray painting line as well as all classes of precision measuring instruments. The stamping line is a car-frame production line composed of high speed deep drawing oil press and robots, with annual output amounting to 200,000 sets. And the mechanical machining line is composed of advanced NC laths and machine tools imported from Suzuki Company with the maximal revolution up to 15000rpm. The diamond blades, the 3rd generation cooling system and NC combined spindle speed regulating mechanism in the system are making the products perfect. The painting line, designed by a multinational specialized company, is the most advanced painting production line in China that utilizes the latest painting and drying techniques, and imported key equipment.
Under the company there are Administration Dept., Technology Dept., Prod. Dept. and Sales dept. as well as other ten sections, all of which work together in a centralized office to facilitate good coordination. There are also four Japanese resident senior managers and technologists in the company sent by Suzuki Co., Ltd. Japan in addition to all kinds of Japanese experts frequently coming in person to see about special issues and supervise the company to make sure that the production and management are carried out in compliance with Suzuki's production and management mode. The total number of employees is over 150, and every year, a number of key employees are sent as trainees to Suzuki Co., Ltd. Japan to undergo training in its production line.
At present, the monthly average output of motorcycles is over 3000, most of them are sold in hard cash. Three styles of motorcycles (City Angel SJ50QT, Sky Wave SJ110 and Sky Visitor SJ125T) are quite popular with consumers.
The company, by importing and applying the advanced technology from Suzuki Company, is sparing no efforts in enlarging market share on the premise that manufacturing level is constantly enhanced. Since the earliest test production up to now, the operations in the company have been step-by-step going to the right ways and in the anticipated direction as well.
